Zevari vs Artisan

Zevari vs Artisan: an autonomous AI BDR, or a full outbound department

Looking for an Artisan alternative? Artisan's Ava is an AI BDR that finds leads in its own contact database, writes personalized emails, handles replies and books meetings. It runs fully autonomously by default, with approval as a per-campaign setting, and connects to Claude through an MCP connector. Zevari is a full outbound department, running today: your AI SDR team for LinkedIn and email that finds, scores, writes and qualifies replies. Train it on your business, then switch it to Autopilot.

What Artisan is and what Zevari is

What Artisan is

Artisan builds AI employees for go-to-market teams, starting with Ava, an autonomous AI BDR that runs outbound end to end. Ava searches Artisan's database of verified B2B contacts, adds intent signals such as hiring and funding, writes each email from enrichment data, and sends from your own mailboxes and domains. Replies can be answered automatically, with meetings set on your reps' calendars, and a human power dialer queues calls for your reps; Ava does not make calls itself.

What Zevari is

A full outbound department, running today. Your AI SDR (AI sales development representative) team for LinkedIn and email: six specialists, Prospecting, Signals, ICP Scoring, Voice Writer, Follow-up and Reply Qualifier, take a prospect from first signal to a qualified conversation. You train them on your ideal customer and your voice and approve their work while they learn; then you take the training wheels off, switch them to Autopilot, and they run your outbound on their own.

Which one fits

When Artisan is the better call, and when Zevari is

Choose Artisan if

  • Cold email is your main channel and you want a contact database and intent signals in the same tool.
  • You want an AI that sends and replies on its own once a campaign is set up.
  • You want a power dialer for your reps alongside the email sequences.

Choose Zevari if

  • LinkedIn is your main channel and you want the prospects found and scored against your ideal customer.
  • You want a team you train first, on your ideal customer and your voice, and put on Autopilot only once it has earned it.
  • You want one published price with all six specialists, not credits sized to your lead volume.
  • You want to run outbound from Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, including launching campaigns, over a hosted MCP connector.

Training, then Autopilot

You train the team on your business. Then it runs on its own.

  1. Step 1

Train it on your ideal customer

ICP Scoring learns who your ideal customer is from the leads you approve and reject.

  2. Step 2

    Train it on your voice

Voice Writer builds a Voice DNA from your own writing and learns from every message you approve or edit.

  3. Step 3

    Approve while it learns

Every connection request, message, comment and post waits for your approval while the team is in training.

  4. Step 4

    Take the training wheels off

Once a specialist has earned it, switch it to Autopilot on the AI team page and it runs your outbound on its own.

Built for teams and agencies

Yes. Zevari users are free, so you can invite your whole team and your clients. A workspace holds many LinkedIn accounts, one per person: each person connects their own LinkedIn on their own free Zevari login, and your team can then run outbound across every LinkedIn account in the workspace, including another person's. Agencies keep one workspace per client, each with its own ideal customer, Voice DNA and approvals. You pay only for LinkedIn sender accounts: the plan includes one, and each extra LinkedIn account is $37 a month.

Approval and limits

What stays the same whichever way you run Zevari

Run it from the Zevari app or from your AI over MCP: the same approvals and the same limits apply. If Zevari is the only tool running outbound on your LinkedIn account and you use it lightly yourself while Zevari works, we guarantee the account will not be restricted. The Safety Center paces and counts every action against these limits.

Read how the safety model works
  • While you train the team, a human approves every send: messages, connection requests, comments and posts wait in a queue until you approve them. Once a specialist has earned it, such as Follow-up after ten approved sends in 30 days, switch it to Autopilot and it sends on its own; switch it back at any time.
  • A hosted connector. No browser extension to install and no cookie injected into a headless browser.
  • Connection requests are capped at 100 a week on Free* LinkedIn accounts, 150 on Premium and 200 on Sales Navigator.
  • * Free accounts: LinkedIn caps connection requests that carry a note at 3 a month. The weekly ceiling covers requests sent without a note, and Premium and Sales Navigator accounts get a far larger allowance for requests with a note. Most outreach uses a note, so Premium or Sales Navigator is the practical choice for real outbound - the full explanation is on /safety.
  • All actions are capped at 400 a day on Free, 1,000 on Premium and 2,000 on Sales Navigator, with burst limits and working hours on top.
  • Email through Instantly or Smartlead: no Zevari limit, those tools apply their own sending limits. Email from your own domain (Resend or Brevo): up to 300 a day and 1,500 a week per mailbox, to keep deliverability healthy.
  • When a limit is reached the action waits for the window to reset. It is not skipped, retried in a burst, or routed around.

Run it from your AI

In Codex, run codex mcp add zevari --url https://mcp.zevari.ai/mcp, then codex mcp login zevari. Every client uses the same server and the same browser sign-in, and technical teams can also call the REST API.

FAQ

Artisan vs Zevari: common questions

Does Artisan have an MCP server?

Yes. Artisan documents a connector that adds Ava to Claude as a custom connector, with tools for finding and enriching leads and drafting campaigns; Claude cannot launch or publish a campaign through it. Zevari does a different job and does not connect to Artisan: its hosted LinkedIn MCP gives Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT or any MCP client six specialists that find, score, write and qualify replies, trained on your ideal customer and your voice, then run on Autopilot.

Does Artisan's Ava send without approval?

By default, yes. Artisan describes Ava as fully autonomous by default, and each campaign can be switched to require approval before sending, so drafts wait for review. Zevari works the other way round: you train it first and approve its sends while it learns, and a specialist moves to Autopilot only once it has earned it.

Can I run LinkedIn outreach from Claude instead of Artisan?

Yes, with Zevari. Add the Zevari LinkedIn MCP to Claude Code with claude mcp add --transport http zevari https://mcp.zevari.ai/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in; Codex and ChatGPT use the same server and browser sign-in. Your AI then directs the same six specialists that run in the Zevari app: they find and score prospects, draft messages in your voice and sort replies, and nothing is sent without your approval until you switch a trained specialist to Autopilot.

How much does Artisan cost compared with Zevari?

Artisan's startup plans start with a free tier of 300 credits a month; Intern is $280 a month billed monthly for 10,000 credits, about 500 leads contacted. Its business plans are sized to your lead volume and priced on request. Zevari is one plan at $87 a month, or $497 a year (save 52%), with all six specialists and one LinkedIn sender account included. Each extra LinkedIn sender account is $37 a month, and extra Zevari users are free.

Do messages go out without my approval?

Yes, once you switch a specialist to Autopilot, and not before. First you train your team: you teach ICP Scoring who your ideal customer is by reviewing the leads it scores, and Voice Writer drafts in your voice from a Voice DNA learned from your own writing, sharpened by every message you approve or edit. While you train them, every connection request, message, comment and post waits for your approval. When a specialist has earned it, such as Follow-up after ten approved sends in 30 days, switch it to Autopilot on the AI team page and it runs on its own, in your voice and to your ideal customer. You can switch it back to Reviews with you at any time.

Will Zevari get my LinkedIn account restricted?

No. If Zevari is the only tool running outbound on your LinkedIn account, and you use the account lightly yourself while Zevari is working, we guarantee it. Zevari's Safety Center paces every action like a person and counts every action the account takes against its limits: 100 connection requests a week on Free* accounts, 150 on Premium and 200 on Sales Navigator, daily caps, working hours and burst limits. Anything that would cross a limit waits for the window to reset. If another automation tool runs on the same account, or you use it heavily by hand at the same time, those actions fall outside Zevari's count, and we cannot guarantee it. The weekly figure covers connection requests sent without a note: LinkedIn caps requests that carry a note at 3 a month on a free account, and gives Premium and Sales Navigator a far larger allowance, so Premium or Sales Navigator is the practical choice for real outbound (see /safety).

How do I train Zevari on my business?

During onboarding you train the six specialists on your business. ICP Scoring learns who your ideal customer is from the leads you approve and reject. Voice Writer builds a Voice DNA from your own writing and learns from every message you approve or edit, so drafts sound like you. You approve their work while they learn, and once a specialist has earned it you take the training wheels off: switch it to Autopilot and it runs your outbound on its own.

Does Zevari work for teams and agencies?

Can I connect Zevari's MCP with an access token instead of an OAuth sign-in?

Yes. Besides the browser sign-in, Zevari offers MCP access tokens, which you create under Settings → Developers. A token needs no OAuth sign-in, so it suits automations, agents and servers that cannot open a browser. Each token is locked to one LinkedIn sender account and to one workspace (or, if you confirm it, to all your workspaces), expires after 30, 90 or 365 days, and can be revoked at any time. Agencies and teams with several workspaces or senders make one token per client and sender, so an automation never has to switch workspace or sender mid-run.
