Reply Qualifier playbook

Classify the reply before you write back.

Six buckets. One rule: do not treat every answer as a meeting.

Objection handling on LinkedIn starts with labeling the reply — timing, not a fit, competitor lock-in, send info, out of office, or real interest — then answering in kind. Reply Qualifier does the triage so you spend time on threads that can become qualified conversations, not on polite noise.

  • Label first. Draft second.
  • Not interested is often timing or fit — not a character judgment.
  • Send info without a next step is a soft no.
  • Competitor mentions need curiosity, not a feature war.
  • Positive interest still needs ICP fit.
  • Stop when the ladder is done — do not nag.

The system

Triage, then respond.

  1. 01

    Read the whole thread

Include their post history if the lead came from a signal. Context changes whether a short no is final.

  2. 02

    Assign one primary label

Timing, not a fit, competitor, send info, OOO, positive, or noise. Mixed replies get the dominant intent.

  3. 03

    Draft the matching play

Short, specific, on-brand. Voice Writer can draft; you approve. No multi-paragraph rebuttals.

  4. 04

    Decide continue vs close

Follow-up may schedule one more step for timing. Hard nos and noise exit. Positive interest advances toward a qualified conversation when the QC rule passes.

Reply classes

Six buckets that cover most threads.

PositiveClear interest, question about fit, ask to talkAdvance — confirm ICP, propose a light next step
TimingNot now, next quarter, buried this monthOne respectful later — then park
Not a fitWrong buyer, no budget motion, different ICPThank and close — update ICP examples

Copy posture

What good replies sound like.

  • Timing

Acknowledge the constraint. Offer to reopen on their date. Do not keep pinging weekly.

  • Not a fit

Leave the door honest. Ask who owns the problem if appropriate. Feed the miss into ICP training.

  • Competitor

Respect the choice. Ask what they would improve. Earn a future switch signal — do not debate features in the thread.

  • Send info

Send one tight paragraph plus an optional link. Ask a single question that proves seriousness.

Which specialist

Six specialists. This one owns the step.

Named faces, not a prompt pack. The handoff is the product.

Questions

The ones operators ask.

Should every reply get a human response?

No. Noise, vendor pitch-backs, and clear hard nos should exit. Qualifier exists so you see the ones that matter.

When does a reply become a qualified conversation?

When it meets the product rule: Zevari-attributed outreach, substantive buyer interest, ICP-plausible, and continued talk. A single thanks does not count.

How many follow-ups after a timing objection?

Usually one agreed check-in. More than that is nagging and burns account trust.

Can Reply Qualifier run on Autopilot?

Assessment can run automatically; sending replies still follows your approval and autonomy settings. Treat triage labels as proposals you can correct.
